Dr. Joseph Balagtas is a Professor of Agricultural Economics at Purdue University and the Interim Director of the Center for Food Demand Analysis and Sustainability (CFDAS). His research focuses on the industrial organization of agricultural markets, agricultural and food policy, poverty, and food security.

The official Purdue ice cream, Boiler Chips, has quickly become a fan favorite since its release in early September. In this episode, Dr. Ken Foster and Shelby Whitaker sat down with two of its creators, Allison Kingery and Teresa King, to get the behind-the-scenes scoop on how this sweet treat came to be.
Allison Kingery is the Managing Director of Food Entrepreneurship and Manufacturing Institute (FEMI), and oversees Skidmore Product Development Laboratory, the certified commercial kitchen located within Nelson Hall of Food Science.
Teresa King is a current junior majoring in food science, she is involved in Food Science Club and Food Science Envoys, and also helped to work on the creation of Boiler Chips.
